潘毅 (學者)

潘毅（英語：Pun Ngai，？—），女，嶺南大學文化研究系講座教授及香港大學社會學系名譽教授，主要研究領域為勞工。

生平

潘於1979年由汕頭移居香港，其弟弟為資深大律師潘熙。潘於1992年與1994年分別於香港中文大學歷史系與香港大學社會科學學院(哲學碩士)畢業。1998年於倫敦大學亞非學院完成人類學哲學博士學位。潘毅主要研究中國勞工、性別及文化政治、全球化及跨境研究等。2005年憑著作《中國製造：全球化工廠下的女工》，獲賴特·米爾斯獎，為首位獲此獎的亞洲學者。

2010年，深圳富士康員工連環自殺跳樓事件發生後，潘毅等九名學者聯名發表公開信，呼籲各界關注以富士康連環跳事件為代表的新生代農民工問題。隨後與其他學者一起組織了關於「富士康用工環境和勞工問題」的調研團隊。整個調研歷時近2年，參與成員近百人，其中近20人潛伏進廠，覆蓋富士康在中國大陸的19個廠區，共收集有效問卷2409份，採訪工人500多例，整理第一手採訪資料十萬餘字。隨後發佈了《西進——富士康內遷調研報告》和《富士康，你改過自新了嗎》等調研報告，指控蘋果及其代工廠富士康為血汗工廠，引起了國際社會的廣泛關注。
